Some Common Questions

Triphala has quite a bitter taste, so taking it in capsule form makes it more palatable. It’s also quicker and easier than mixing Triphala powder into your smoothie or water (although we have loads of customers that love to do that!). When starting with Triphala, we suggest taking 2 capsules with water, morning and night. These can be taken with or without food, so you don’t have to worry about timing. Not feeling an impact after a week or so? Try gradually increasing your intake up to a maximum of 8 tablets a day.

No sorry. This is an online store only. There is no physical address and all orders are sent via mail. We do have some retail stores stocking our products though!

This is up to you. Triphala is very similar to a vegetable so you can't really take too much. I like to suggest taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night to start with. See how you feel and increase as necessary.

This is going to be depending on how much Triphala you decide to take and your overall health. On average people feel the benefits within a week of taking Triphala. It may take longer as your body goes through a bit of a detoxification process. If you are not feeling any benefits after a week, up your dosage.

Please know there is absolutely no way we can or will give medical advice on Triphala. It has some amazing healing benefits as I am sure you know, but it is still a case by case basis. Please make sure you speak to your doctor or health care professional before buying/taking Triphala if you have any health concerns.

What's in Triphala

Amalaki (Amla)

Otherwise known as Indian Gooseberry, this edible fruit is a highly nutritious source of Vitamin C, amino acids and minerals. An antioxidant powerhouse, it may help support the natural functions of the liver and immune systems, and may help relieve constipation.

Haritaki

This tree is known as the 'King of Medicines'. Containing beneficial phytochemicals, its small green fruit is valued for its powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Helping ensure proper passage of food through the gastrointestinal tract, it is used in Ayurveda medicines for heart disease, asthma, constipation and ulcers.

Bibhitaki

The dried, powdered fruit of the Bibhitaki tree has anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. It is commonly used to help prevent bacterial and viral infections. It also contains two powerful plant compounds - gallic acid and ellagic acid - that have been shown to improve blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity.
